A Smelly Kind of Smell

So this morning, I had an interesting conversation with Dana a.k.a. Goldberry. We were discussing various smells that we liked. Not the run-of-the-mill stuff like hot apple pie or vanilla, but wierd stuff. She likes the smell of new electronics. I have always enjoyed the smell of a new video or PC game manual… something about the smell of the ink that just takes me back to sitting in the back seat of the car with a Nintendo game reading the manual while waiting to get home and play when I was little. It got me thinking that it would be interesting to pose the question to others, and see if anyone else likes any unique smells. That is, assuming any of my friends will actually bother with the registration process that was a necessary evil to fight comment spammers that seem to think my blog is a perfect spot for their viagra graffiti.

Merry Christmas (shock! horror!!)

A friend just sent me this link to a current news story about a McDonald’s restaurant that has the following text on their sign (Get ready, and if you have small children at your computer, avert their eyes. This is not for the faint of heart):

“Merry Christmas — Jesus is the reason for the season”
